Toodledo, an existing prodoctivity app looked to extend it's capabilities to truly help people optimize their self improvement. The system already supports complex goal-oriented task management with an emphasis on the "Getting things done" methodology. But how could they ensure their users were successfully achieving their goals?
The answer is habits: a system that allows people to track their own behavior in order to promote positivity, and keep negative habits in check.
Primary goal Meaningful habitsThe system only has value if it can provide people with habits that are relevant to the individual. Therefor the primary requirement is to make smart suggestions based off the user's existing goals. This way we promote habits that have substance and meaning.
Secondary goal Behavior ConversionSecondly, the process of tracking a behavior is only a success if the behavior is repeated enough to become a habit. This second requirement is achieved through ease of use, encouragement, and positive reinforcement.
Mobile Log habits quicklyOn a mobile device users need the ability to quickly log a habit and continue on with their day.
Tablet/Desktop Review progressOnce on a larger screen the user can look more closely at their progress through statistics.
My role in the project was to build a fully responsive prototype layout using HTML and CSS. I then documented all planned interactivity for the app in a 20 page wireframe document. This document was delivered to the developer who worked with me to bring the web app to life using AngularJS.
